Fabulous fabrics!

I could spend hours looking through tonicliving.com.

They have the best colors and patterns. I definitely need to brush up on my sewing skills in order to be able to enjoy this great fabric!

I completely forgot about this Save the Date until I was looking through some old folders on my computer.  This is one of my favorites.  Sarah and Whit celebrate 2 years in September 2007. They just had a baby in February: August Royal Youngstrom!

Seriously. Who can resist this face?

When Danielle asked me to design Zach’s first birthday invitations, I knew exactly what to do (after Danielle told me she wanted a Prince theme (no – not Purple Rain Prince). Here’s what I came up with:

Bonsai baby!

Bill and I had our first bonsai workshop with Bill Valavanis. Bill as been practicing the art of bonsai for 45 years! The workshop was held at his home. If you look at the link above – the arboretum is at his home! he has trees that are worth over $25,000! Pretty cool.

Basically bonsai means, taking a tree, putting it in a pot, and training it. So that’s what we did.

I was told that I cut mine back a little too far (typical). But, with enough water it will fill in nicely. I also snapped a branch when wiring, and we had to glue it back together with tree glue.

Bill’s tree looks more like a bonsai. He has WAY more patience than I do:

I will keep everyone posted of our new hobby!
